Quick answers for parents using EarnTime, and how to reach us.
What is EarnTime?
EarnTime is a family app for iPhone and iPad made by REDDOTT LLC. Kids' phones are blocked by default, and kids earn screen time by doing chores and learning. Parents approve the work, and the minutes go into the kid's time bank to spend when they like.

My kid's apps stay locked during earned screen time
This usually means Apple's own Screen Time limits are still on and are blocking the apps on top of EarnTime. To fix it:
- On your iPhone, open Settings, then Screen Time, then tap your kid's name. Turn off Downtime and App Limits.
- On the kid's own phone, open Settings, then Screen Time, and check that Downtime and App Limits are off there too.
- In the same Screen Time settings, open Always Allowed and add EarnTime.
EarnTime then handles locking and unlocking on its own. If apps still stay locked, email us.
How do I delete my account?
- In the EarnTime app, tap the person icon.
- Tap Account and subscription.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
This deletes your login. If you are the last parent in the family, it also deletes the family and all of its data, including kids, phones, chores and photos. If another parent is still in the family, the family stays with them.
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it separately on your iPhone: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then EarnTime.
How do I remove a kid's phone?
- In the EarnTime app, tap your kid's name.
- Under Phones, tap the x next to the phone.
- Tap Remove phone.
The phone stops earning and using minutes right away. The next time EarnTime opens on it, all blocking is lifted and it leaves your family. Minutes in the time bank stay, and you can pair the phone again later.
